Roberto represented Appita at the ABTCP-TAPPI 2006 - 39th Pulp and Paper International Congress & Exhibition held in São Paulo, Brazil from 16 to 19 October 2006 where he also presented a paper entitled “Australian pulp & paper industry - adding value in the Lucky Country”.
Among other things, he briefly mentioned to the international audience the exciting projects and proposals that are currently being carried out and assessed in Australia, for instance, Project Advance at Australian Paper Maryvale, the proposed Gunns bleach kraft pulp mill at Long Reach, Tasmania and the proposed BCTMP mills at Heywood, Victoria and Penola, South Australia.
